April 2022

Dear Church Family,

As some of you already know, I will be retiring from my position as Director of the Early Learning Center at the end of May. I want you all to know that it has been a privilege and an honor to be part of the school and church for the last 24 years. I have connected with so many amazing people: folks who served on the school board; church members who donated time or materials to the school; people who prayed for us; families and children; and the school and church staff. I have learned so much from each of you and am so appreciative of the time we shared. Love is the most powerful force in the universe and heart to heart connections are what brings love into our daily lives.  I’m grateful for all the connections I’ve made.

Rebekah Eggleston, who used to be FUMC’s Director of Children and Family Ministries (2013-2017) will be taking over. She is one of the amazing folks I have had the privilege of working with and she will do a superb job of carrying on, supporting the families in our community.

The church will be holding a retirement celebration on Saturday, May 21st after the evening service and then on Sunday the 22nd after each service. The school will be having a retirement open house on Friday, May 20th from 4pm to 6pm in the Wesley Parlor. I would be delighted to see folks who have been part of, or, helped out with the school over the years.

Blessings,

Jeanette Johansen
