The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News fo Jesus Christ. Through Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan’s Purse plans to collect enough shoebox gifts to reach 11 million children in more than 100 countries this year. Every shoebox gift provides an opportunity for evangelism and discipleship, which leads to the multiplication of new believers and churches around the world. Local Christians are trained to share the Gospel through an outreach event, inviting children to trust in Jesus. At that event, boys and girls receive a surprise shoebox gift that may be the only present they ever receive. Children are then invited to participate in a discipleship program called The Greatest Journey which helps them to know Jesus, follow Him, and share the Gospel.

Please help Summit Church meet our God-sized goal of packing 500 shoeboxes in 2020! More information, shoeboxes, and supplies are available after each live service. Not coming to church yet? No problem! Please contact Erin Hamlin by phone/text at 970-946-1096 or email at to obtain more information and to schedule pick-up or delivery of supplies.

Packed shoeboxes will be collected before each live service. No shoeboxes will be collected in the atrium, under the stairs, or in the church office this year. If you do not attend live services, please bring packed shoeboxes to the touch-less drop-off at the Summit garage during National Collection Week, Nov 16 – 23, during operational hours.
