Jeanne MacKenzie has been hired as the new Office Ministry Coordinator. She is replacing Sallie Chappell who has moved to Florida; however, Sallie will still be performing all of the communications/social media responsibilities from that location. Jeanne comes to us with a strong administrative background as she most recently served in the same role for five years at the Unitarian Church here in Durango. She has been in Durango for close to 30 years and started her career as an Architect. Jeanne will be in the office on Monday – Thursday from 9:00am – 4:00pm.

Dominic Armato has been hired as the Facilities Assistant, replacing Connie Waterman who retired last month. Dominic served 32 years in the military or related federal government positions and has spent the past 10 years in Durango in a variety of facilities-related positions. Most recently he was at Mountain Middle School for four years. Dominic will be working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00am – 12:00pm.

Tanner Church will be the new Serving Director here at Summit Church. We can’t wait for him to share his gifts here at Summit again. Tanner’s primary responsibilities will be working closely with the Summit staff to develop and implement a serving structure that will allow ministry to be given to the local body at all leadership levels, providing opportunities for leadership development for the church community, and overseeing our Guest Services/Hospitality Ministry here at Summit. Tanner will also be part of our Teaching Team and will preach at the weekend services multiple times per year.
