๐ŸŒŸ Introducing Kids Helping Kids: A Partnership with Native Hope! ๐ŸŒŸ

We are so excited to launch Kids Helping Kids, a monthly food and supply drive where Summit families can come together to support 80 local students and their families through Native Hope.

Who is Native Hope?
Native Hope Ministries, based right here at Summit Church, is an outreach made up of caring church members and non-members. Through our part-time Navajo employees, Native Hope serves individuals and families scattered across a wide area of the Navajo reservation.

Just a few hoursโ€™ drive from Durango, many of these families live in substandard homes, often without electricity, running water, or reliable transportation. They use wood stoves for heat, have no ovens or refrigeration, and face daily challenges in accessing healthy food. As a result, diabetes, heart disease, and a shortened life expectancy are heartbreakingly common.

How can we help?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Each month, Summit Kids will focus on collecting a specific item for Native Hopeโ€™s weekend food bags.
๐Ÿ‘‰ This month, we are collecting peanut butter!
๐Ÿ‘‰ Please make sure all donations are non-perishable (no glass jars; low sugar, low salt when possible).

This is a wonderful way for our kids to bring their own โ€œofferingโ€ โ€” learning to care for and bless other children right next door.

Look for the donation box in the lobby every weekend to drop off your items. Together, we can make a real difference and share Godโ€™s love in action!
