Night to Shine is back in Durango on Friday, February 13th from 6:00–9:00 pm at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, and we need a BIG team of volunteers to help make this unforgettable night happen! Sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and hosted by Summit Church, First Baptist Durango, & Life Church Bayfield, this event is a free prom night for individuals with disabilities where every guest is treated like royalty.
There are so many ways to serve, and there is truly a role for everyone. Volunteer opportunities include:
set up, decorating, boutique, check-in and registration, lining the red carpet and cheering for guests, greeters, valets, parking, security and safety team, food assistants, medical team, flowers and goody bags, entertainment, photography, sensory room support, Kid Domain, parent dinner support, tear down, and more.
One of our greatest needs is for Buddy volunteers — a one-on-one companion who stays with a guest throughout the night, dances with them, eats with them, and helps make sure they have the best night ever. We need around 100 buddies, and no special experience is required — just a willing heart and a joyful attitude.
Whether you can help before the event, during the event, or with clean-up afterward, your time and energy will directly impact the lives of our guests and their families.
