Four organizations were selected to receive the proceeds from this years Christmas Offering. As it is every year, 100% of the funds donated to the campaign are given to the selected group. The charities chosen this year were two international missions and two local missions. The Tandana Foundation will be constructing a community and health center in Dolognu, which is in the country of Mali. Over 5,000 local residents will benefit from this clinic as well as others who may travel for medical or other care. The International Treasure House in Kenya is an organization our church has established long-term relationships with and the mission teams from our church visit them every time we are over there. Their funds will be used to construct a trade school and community center. It will be located about an hour outside of Nairobi and will reach hundreds of children and adults in this rural area. The first local organization is Manna which is receiving money to support all of their food access programs. This includes the backpack program for children, the Food Market which supplies food at no cost to clients, and the take-out window which served over 48,000 meals last year. Finally, Alternative Horizons is the second local organization selected. They provide confidential support and resources for women, children, and men who have been the victims of domestic violence. They have been in the local community for several decades and provide a service that is, unfortunately, much needed and increasing. You may give via check or online and choose Christmas Offering in the dropdown menu on the giving portal. You may also split your donation between more than one recipient or designate just one of them. For information, contact the church office for more details.
