Grieving and mourning are not things to move through alone. This fall, join a small, supportive group centered on the grief companioning model of Dr. Alan Wolfelt and the Center for Loss & Life Transition.

Our time together will draw on Dr. Wolfelt’s understanding of grief, which centers on six needs every mourner encounters — acknowledging the reality of the loss, allowing space for the pain it brings, remembering the person who died, adjusting to a changed sense of self, searching for meaning, and letting others walk alongside us. We’ll explore these together not as steps to check off, but as ongoing companions to one another’s grief — listening, sharing memories, and offering the kind of steady presence that helps each of us move toward healing in our own time and our own way.

The group will be facilitated by Bobbi Maiers, MA, LPCC, a grief counselor and graduate of Dr. Wolfelt’s 150-hour training in specialized grief care.
