FOOD & BLANKET DRIVE THIS WEEKEND
The devastating flash flooding that struck the Navajo Nation this week hits a little closer to home for our Summit family.
A third-grade student at Tohaali School and her grandmother, along with a hero school bus driver, were tragically killed in the flooding on Thursday.
For the past year, Summit Church, through our Native Hope ministry, has had the privilege of supporting Tohaali School and building relationships within their community. Now, the school has reached out for help as families recover from this devastating loss.
This weekend, we’re coming together to help. We’ll be collecting food and blankets to provide much-needed supplies to those affected by the flooding.
If you’re able, please bring donations with you to church this weekend. Every blanket, every bag of food, and every act of generosity is a tangible way to show our Navajo neighbors that they are not alone.
Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus and care for a community that has become part of the Summit family.
